Real School Andover invites advanced students in violin, viola, and cello to join our new String Quartet Ensembles directed by instructor Alexandra Stoica. These quartets will feature Chamber music where each player is provided their very own part. Each instrumentalist’s part is important, allowing them their opportunity to shine with their own musical voice all while creating a beautiful balance within the overall ensemble. Chamber music is especially beneficial to young musicians, teaching them to communicate in a group setting both verbally and musically. Performing with others will train a young musician’s ear to pick up on musical cues, analyze intonation more deeply, and will teach great flexibility and adaptability.
Initial rehearsals begin October 14th at 7pm and will meet weekly on Fridays at 7pm.
