Jim Zaroulis

Instructor

Jim holds a degree in Music Business/Music Performance from the University of MA-Lowell and furthered his piano study with legendary Jazz educator Charlie Banacos. While at Real School, he helped launch the Advanced Ensemble program, as well as coordinating the student/faculty Queen Ensemble and the Abbey Road Beatles Tribute. For 7 years Jim served as Music Director at Boston’s historic Improv Asylum. Aside from providing music for well over 1000 shows Jim composed the musical “You’re a Good Man, Scott Brown” and also scored a weekly TV sketch comedy show called “Vanity Project” which aired on ABC. As a pianist he has toured and shared stages with Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Darlene Love, Gloria Gaynor and The Drifters, as well as with Yvonne Elliman, and Terry Sylvester of the Hollies. When Jim feels he’s not busy enough, he continues to perform all over New England as a solo pianist/keyboardist, and scores music for commercials and short films.
