Eric is an accomplished musician and educator with a rich background in both jazz and classical music. His career spans composing, performing, recording, and teaching, offering students an insider’s perspective on professional musicianship. A graduate of the Performing Arts School in Louisville, Eric has collaborated with Pulitzer Prize-winning composers and learned from jazz legends like Jamey Aebersold, Herb Pomeroy, and Charlie Banacos, whose innovative teaching methods greatly influence his own.

Eric’s recording credits include jazz quartet and solo piano albums, as well as a critically acclaimed collaboration with soprano Karyn Levitt on the works of Hanns Eisler, featuring English translations by Eric Bentley. He is an active performer, leading his own jazz quartet and working closely with NYC-based guitarist Peter Seckel.

Eric’s teaching integrates his extensive performance experience and the groundbreaking techniques of his mentors, making him an ideal guide for intermediate to advanced students looking to refine their skills, deepen their understanding of theory, and enhance their expressive abilities.
