Real School Members do more than take lessons. They join bands, write songs, jam together, play live concerts and even learn how to get gigs and market themselves. They also become part of a community that welcomes and inspires musicians of all levels.

Casey is a prodigy with an awesome musical toolkit that includes playing keyboards, acoustic and electric guitar, and he has been happily pounding the drum skins since he was 6. Casey shows a real hunger for knowledge, and a desire to absorb as much music from the past and present as he can.
As a student at The Real School of Music, Casey took lessons with Vykki Vox. Casey has done the Grammy camp in California, along with other noteworthy events, and you can check out his music on his website www.caseybarth.com. He also recorded a music video earlier this year for his song, Daylight.
Casey is plenty inspired, but he is avidly collecting the musical skills he needs. He can write and arrange songs, play guitar, piano and drums. He can sing with depth, range and stamina. Since graduating from Real School, Casey began attending Columbia College in Chicago in 2010, and later transferred to USC.

Students arrive on Monday morning and are quickly sorted into bands. Many of these students are now just meeting each other for the first time. By mid-week, these bands have written their own original music, and recorded their original songs in our in-house recording studio. They also shoot their own music video, and even perform a live show in front of friends, family, and fans.
Although most of these students are meeting for the first time, and although they represent a wide range of musical ability and experience, these RealJammers quickly form musical and personal bonds that last well beyond the RealJams summer session. What you are seeing and hearing is the product of just a couple days work. Considering this, their accomplishments are nothing short of awesome!
